Counselor’s Corner

Welcome!  Check out this page frequently for information on college visits, scholarships,

graduation, deadlines, etc.

Upcoming events:

-Coming April 19th:  Juniors will take the ACT, sophomores will take the Pre-ACT, freshman and seniors will not have school.

-Registration for next year:  9th, 10th, and 11th graders, please remember to meet with your school counselor to finalize your course requests for next school year.
-On Monday, March 13th from 6-7:00 pm in room 220 there will be a presentation about college planning, NCAA, and a brief overview of the FAFSA.
-On Monday, March 13th, from 7:15-8:30 pm in room 220 there will be a presentation about college admissions, applications, scholarships, NCAA, our new summer college application “boot camp” and a brief overview of the FAFSA.
-Keep up the good work on your OdysseyWare online ACT test prep. You are doing great!
-Reminder to turn in your scholarship letters to Mrs. Vacinek in the guidance office.  We like to know what you have earned whether you are attending that school or not.  We include this information in the graduation program and other end of the year ceremonies.
-Check Naviance frequently for scholarship opportunities!

Spring College Fair

If you are interested in speaking to several college admissions representatives, plan on attending the Spring Omaha area college fair!  The date is Sunday, April 9th from 1-3 p.m. at the Sapp Field House at the University of Nebraska.  You do need to pre-register for this event.
